About Senior Gadget Guide
Clear, practical technology advice for older Australians and the families helping them.
We started Senior Gadget Guide to help older Australians choose technology with more confidence and less confusion.
Why I started this site
I’m Nick, and I started this site after seeing how technology fits into my own family’s life.
My nana and grandma have embraced technology in different ways. They use it to stay connected, manage daily life, and enjoy more independence.
But I’ve also seen how easy it can be for older people to be oversold features they don’t need, or left trying to understand advice that is too technical.
My pop is less interested in technology, but still uses it in practical ways. He uses a large-screen phone, reads the news on an iPad, and has a medical alarm for safety and reassurance.
That’s what Senior Gadget Guide is about.
It is not about chasing the newest gadget, or making technology more complicated than it needs to be. It is about clear, honest guidance on the products that make everyday life easier.

How we make money
Some articles on Senior Gadget Guide may include affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if you click a link and buy something, at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate links help support the site, but they do not change the goal: to provide clear, practical, and helpful advice.
We aim to recommend products based on usefulness, ease of use, value, and suitability for seniors in Australia.
Our promise
Every guide on Senior Gadget Guide is written to be clear, honest, and genuinely useful. We explain things in plain language, we are upfront about how the site makes money, and we only suggest products we would be happy to recommend to our own nana, grandma, or pop.
Technology should support independence, safety, and connection. It should not leave people feeling confused, pressured, or talked down to.
